Video subscription cost · Updated August 2026

What does a video editing
subscription cost in 2026?

Three pricing models, three very different bills: freelancers, per-video studios, and flat-fee subscriptions. Here is the honest math on what video editing actually costs in 2026, with prices checked against each provider's own page, and when a flat $699/mo subscription beats paying per video.

By Dharmendra Ahuja, Founder of PitchWorx

The short answer

A video editing subscription costs a flat monthly fee instead of a per-video quote. Video-only subscriptions run from about $699/mo to $1,700/mo and up depending on tier. PitchWorx is $699/mo for unlimited requests across video and seven other disciplines, with unlimited revisions included. We are not the cheapest video-only option, but we are the only one that also covers your decks, brand and web on the same fee.

Cost by model

Three ways to pay for video editing.

Subscription prices as advertised on each provider's own pricing page on August 12, 2026. Freelance and studio rows describe the pricing structure rather than a market rate, because those vary too widely by length, complexity and region for a single honest figure.

A video-only subscription can start at the same $699 we charge, so on price alone we are at parity, not below. The difference is what the fee also covers: the deck the video plays in, the landing page it drives to, and the social cutdowns around it are all included rather than three separate bills.

What you pay for

What actually drives video cost.

  • Length and format. A 15-second social cutdown is a fraction of the effort of a two-minute explainer, and a set of platform-specific sizes multiplies it again.
  • Animation complexity. A simple cut-and-caption edit is far cheaper than full motion graphics, animated charts or a bespoke logo animation. Confirm which a quote covers.
  • Versions and cutdowns. One master video usually spawns several edits for different channels. Per-video pricing charges for each; a subscription does not.
  • Revision rounds. This is where per-video budgets move. Two rounds is a common scope; the third is usually a change order.
  • Footage, music and licensing. Original filming, licensed stock and scored audio are separate costs from the edit itself, on any pricing model.
The honest answer

When a subscription is the wrong choice.

If you need one high-production launch film with original shooting and scoring, a dedicated video studio is the right buy, not a design subscription. And if video is genuinely all you will ever need, at high volume, a video-only specialist concentrates its whole attention there.

A subscription wins on the opposite pattern: a steady stream of edits, motion graphics and cutdowns that sit alongside decks, brand and web work. That is when a fixed $699/mo stops being a video line item and starts replacing several. See the live pricing page for exactly what the flat fee includes, or the all-in-one cost breakdown for how the disciplines stack up.
